recording twitch on the fly #498

It's not a problem, but it could suddenly be a new feature to implement.
Add a button to record the Twitch channel in real time.
I know there are channels that are very long, like 5, 7, or 10 hours, and storing that in the browser must be bad. So if there was a way to record the channel and, as it progressed, save the part that had already been recorded to the hard drive/SSD or accumulate it on the hard drive/SSD and, when you click stop/pause, close the file.

I currently use OBS, I open the Twitch PiP and tell OBS to record the window in mkv format. It records directly to the SSD as the live stream occurs, so if OBS closes, the mkv already has the video saved up to that point.
The downside of OBS is that it doesn't have the option to record a specific area of the screen. For example, my screen is 4K, and if I leave Twitch at 1080p on the right side of the screen, I would like OBS to record that area and not the rest of the screen, but this option doesn't exist in OBS.

So if it were possible to have this functionality in HLS Downloader, it would be great.
Because currently, unfortunately, I can only save 28-second clips using HLS Downloader.

Thank you for your attention, and I apologize if this is not the right place to ask this.
