We are excited to announce the release of iTwin.js 3.0! This release represents a significant milestone for iTwin.js, including improved visualization, editing capabilities (in Beta), flexibility to add 3rd party Identity Providers (IdPs), and much more... enabling you to build robust and capable digital twin solutions today.
This new release represents a major milestone for the iTwin ecosystem — independent software vendors, in-house developers, and digital twin integrators. It is a substantial release, and we have refactored and improved many aspects of the platform targeted in the v3.0 roadmap. See the Release Notes for more information on the changes in this release. Use the provided upgrade path to make the transition easier for your existing applications.
Goals of the release
We had some high-level objectives guiding the changes made during this release enabling us to provide a strong foundation for the exciting features to come in this 3.x generation.
What's included?
This major release comprises different pieces including packages being moved to different repositories and renamed. The full guide to the changes and renames are available in release notes.
